The Legend of Chanzui

I’m so glad you found this shrine! It honors Chanzui, a figure wrapped in mystery, myth, and story. Chanzui loved one thing above all: steamed bamboo dumplings. Every day, he carefully harvested bamboo and prepared his beloved delicacy.

But one day, the bamboo vanished. Heartbroken, Chanzui vowed to protect the land and help it grow back. From that promise, he became the guardian spirit of the bamboo forest, watching over it for all who come after.
